In honor of Valentine’s Day we decided to have a kid interactive dinner making heart pizzas. This is rare for us because I like to have “my time” in the kitchen when cooking and also we are normally rushing to get out the door to our next activity shortly after dinner and we don’t have a minute to spare. But tonight we didn’t have to rush off and so by the minis’ request we made mini heart pizzas for dinner.
What you need:
1 pack of crescent rolls or freezer dough
1 8 oz can of pizza sauce
1 16 oz pack of shredded cheese, we choose mozzarella
Toppings of your choice, my family is very plain so we just had pepperonis
What we did:
Un-package your crescent rolls (make sure to keep them in the fridge until right before you are ready to use it) and un-roll them.
I used wax paper with cooking spray on it and used my rolling pin to “seal” the perforated edges.
Then I used a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out little pizza crusts.
Each get then had their own piece of wax paper with cooking spray on it and I laid their crust hearts on that.
I baked their heart pizzas at 350 degrees for ten minutes and they were ready to eat.
