Backyard Movie Night
We did this once before and our friends have been asking for us to do it again this summer and host a backyard movie night. It is such a great time to reconnect with classmates since school let out. We love being able to have a few friends over with their minis for some family fun. Here’s how we do it . . .
We invited a bunch of friends over using this text invite.
I grabbed a cheap white, king size flat bed sheet from Walmart aka “Satan’s playground” to project our movie onto. I also grabbed command hooks. I use those for almost everything. I cut little slits in he top of the sheet, just big enough to slide the hooks through.
I attached each hook to the side of our house and then put the sheet up hook by hook.
To add some fun factors to our backyard movie night I put tea lights inside of mason jars to line our side walk.
I also took glow sticks, broke them and stuck them inside of balloons. Coolest mom ever award right here! They were a huge hit!
Backyard Movie Night is not a movie night without the right snacks. POPCORN is a must! Check out these awesome popcorn bags!
Because of the possible chance of rain we had to wait until the last minute to set up our projector, a Kohls Black Friday deal I could NOT pass up.
And then our beautiful set up needed moved indoors due to the rain! On the plus side we got to see a beautiful rainbow and play in the water puddles before our friends arrived.
Even though we got rained out, we still had a great time at our Backyard Movie Night turned indoor movie night with our glow sticks, glow balloons and lots of popcorn & snacks!
