As I sat down to think about what my next post would be about, I ran through a handful of ideas and one thing popped into my mind . . . “I want to build an empire.” So thinking about that it occurred to me, I already have built an empire, a Mom-Pire! I am the one calling the shots, running businesses (yes that’s plural), and making things happen.
I hear more often than not, “I don’t know how you do all that you do” or “you do that too?” And my response is always, “Yep, not like I have a thousand other things to do.” In all reality I’m not even sure how to respond.
So let me give you a run down of this Mom-Pire:
In 2010 I opened my own dance studio, Dance-A-Licious Dance Studio which is small but solely managed and operated by 100% me. This has been my life long dream coming true.
In 2013 I became a consultant with the direct sales company, Thirty-One Gifts. At the end of 2016 I promoted to Senior Consultant and then promoted again in early 2017 to Director managing a team of 20 other mombosses.
In early 2014 I decided, after much deliberation with the Hubs, that’d I’d leave my full time position as a Senior Staffing Consultant to be a stay at home mom, raise our babies and babysit on the side to help make ends meet. I love being able to be home and participate in various school events and trips.
In the February of 2017 I began this blog which is my own kind of therapy. Need I say more?
In the summer of 2017 I began a journey with jewelry sales, working with direct sales company called Paparazzi, creating a boutique of accessories and jewelry.
Those a merely my income producing activities. I feel it is necessary to be an active member in my community and school district so I volunteer as the secretary for my children’s elementary school PTO.
I recently, with the help of a close friend, started a Daisy/Brownie Girl Scout Troop.
Of course to keep activities fair with all my children I also assist in coaching the boys’ soccer team.
So as you can see I have already built my empire that I so desire, my Mom-Pire! I do it with the support of my rock, the Hubs. I do it all for my family. I strive to consistently be the best version of me through all my endeavors. As I am writing this post, having to reflect on all that I have built and accomplished just in the past seven years, I see why I get the “I don’t know how you do all that you do” or “you do that too?” I must admit I’m pretty proud of this Mom-Pire I have built.
