Let’s talk Hostess of the Month Club for your business. With Thirty-One we have a sales goal of hitting $200 in sales every three months. Sounds easy enough right? But what about the month where you’re on vacation for a week, or there is an unexpected illness or death in the family, how are you going to work your business then? With a Hostess of the Month Club you have something to rely on for times such as these. “Work smarter, not harder.”
Let’s break this down:
What is Hostess of the Month Club (HOTMC)?
HOTMC is essentially a certain amount of people who agree to make a purchase of an amount you set for a duration of time.
For example: I have a HOTMC going right now with 6 ladies making a $35 purchase each month for 6 months. Then each month on of those ladies gets to be the hostess and claim all of the hostess rewards from those sales.
When talking about my Thirty-One business Home parties and Facebook parties are the cake to my business. My icing on the cake of my business is catalog parties with random orders “sprinkling” in. And my cupcake liner in all of this is my HOTMC because that ensures me for atleast six months I hit the minimum to remain an active consultant. Many consultants choose not to have or don’t have a HOTMC which is fine too because some cupcakes don’t have liners 😉 But for me and my business this is the second round to my HOTMC and I love the security of it.
What is my part in the HOTMC?
I started a HOTMC facebook group for my customers and that’s how we connect. Each month on the 16th after all of my club members have placed their monthly order I post the next month’s special. Part of the perk in being in my HOTMC is that you get to know upcoming specials and events before I share it on my Facebook Page and VIP Group. I also send out little bits of “happy mail” along the course of the 6 months too which includes a nail file, little trinket items, pens, note pads, stickie notes, different inexpensive items that can be sent in the mail and are more fun to open than bills.
With your HOTMC you now have a party booked every month for the next six months or however long you choose to have it. I normally run it the number of months as there are people signed up to participate. This helps you build consistency within your business let alone you get to chat with those lovely club members on the regular and really expand your relationship with them. And as I posted before, relationships are the base of your business.
